Hundreds line up for the best bargins of the year, news choppers hovered over top to get a glimps of the biggest yard-sale of the year. People flying from Boston, traffic jams, angery neighbors, and the list goes on.
The home of actress Tori Spelling wasn't just some ordinary yard sale, it was a sale of the year. The word of the year goes to, Stephen Colbert, for "Truthiness." To an online survey by dictionary publisher Merriam-Webster, "truthiness" was the most talked about word of the year. "Truthiness" was credited by Stephen Colbert from the show, "The Colbert Report." Stephen Colbert defined it as "truth that comes from the gut, not books."

In Cape Canaveral, Florida the night lit-up with Discovery on a mission to rewire the international space station. The spacecraft Discovery blast off the launch pad for the first nighttime liftoff in four years. Action Star Wesley Snipes is released on bond, and will be allowed to go back to Namibia to finish filming a motion picture, but must return by Jan. 10 to face the charges against him.
